MARK Paragua has accomplished the first part of his mission. Now he seeks a third Grandmaster norm and the GM title when he competes in the Second Alushta GM Tournament starting on Friday (Saturday in Manila) in Crimea, Ukraine.
Paragua, who won the first phase of the tournament last week, is fully confident of coming home as the newest Filipino GM. However, he needs to score at least 12 points in the 18-player closed tournament to gain his third and final GM result.
