HOPING to boost the Philippines’ bid for the overall championship in the Southeast Asian Games the country will host next year, the First Gentleman Foundation has begun screening athletes that could benefit financially from its Medalyang Ginto program.

Headed by President Arroyo’s husband, the lawyer Jose Miguel Arroyo, the FG Foundation said gold medalists in the Vietnam SEA Games last year and athletes who have the biggest potential to deliver gold will immediately benefit from the program.
