BEIJING—China on Thursday condemned Taiwan’s latest attempt to join the United Nations as a “political trick” aimed at creating two Chinas or an independent Taiwan.
“The Taiwan authority should stop such political tricks and come back to the one-China principle,” the foreign ministry spokesman, Kong Quan, said.
