THE board of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM) is considering revising the government’s year-end target to privatize the National Transmission Corp. (Transco) to allow more time for new interested bidders to study their investment option.

“We will have a board meeting later in the afternoon [September 28]. We will discuss the target timetable if this could still be extended and the process of selection, among others,” Energy Secretary Vincent S. Perez, PSALM vice chair, said in an interview during the launching of the DOE/Pancake House Placemats for Energy Conservation Program.
