THE veterans could not be toppled, at least for the moment though, as young legs showed potential in yesterday’s track racing at the Amoranto Velodrome in Quezon City and road’s massed start in Tagaytay City and Batangas.
Arnel Quirimit, the 2003 Tour Pilipinas champion, led a 1-2-3 finish by the veterans on the national team—with Sprint King Enrique Domingo finishing second and 1998 Tour titlist Warren Davadilla third—in the 168.7-km massed start Elite event that was raced on an out-and-back course in Tagaytay City.
