GABRIEL Espinas, the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player, was chosen as the No. 1 overall pick in the Philippine Basketball League rookie draft on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5 center-forward from NCAA champion Philippine Christian University was tabbed by Addict Mobile, formerly known as Ateneo-Lee Pipes, which also got Espinas’ teammate Jason Castro in the second round.
