The ‘ants’ of my life

We all know how ants religiously work to save up on food for rainy days. Well, in an odd sort of way, many of my women friends are similar to ants. Women stash or hoard things that others consider unnecessary. They feel anxious when they don’t have an extra pair of shoes, socks, lipstick, perfume, toiletry, panty hose or even underwear.

Women are most certainly guilty of the Imeldific complex (how else would you explain my girlfriends’ love affair with shoes?).  For some moms I know, this complex even extends to stockpiling every piece of school supply their kids might need—much like having a mini-office depot at home.
