The China arms ban

In the give-and-take diplomacy that will doubtless  take place during President George W. Bush’s grand European tour, we hope that he’ll hold the line against lifting the 15-year-old arms embargo against China.

There’s a growing unease in Asia about China’s military modernization. But it’s China’s declared intentions against Taiwan that cause the most immediate worries in East and Southeast Asia.
