In keeping with the worldwide march of globalization, the Philippines is breaking down barriers to lure tourists and investors.

The Bureau of Immigration in December started a visa-on-entry program for Chinese tourists. Earlier this month, the bureau relaxed visa requirements for executives of Philippines-based multinational firms. Recently the bureau announced it would relax visa requirements for nationals of other countries.
