GOVERNMENT prosecutors urged Wednesday the camp of deposed President Joseph Estrada to allow him to testify in his plunder and perjury trial as early as July.

Chief Special Prosecutor Dennis Villa-Ignacio dared defense lawyers to let Estrada take the witness stand July 13, noting that the defense appears to be “killing time” by presenting “irrelevant and immaterial” witnesses in the past two months.
