BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya:  Two firms have expressed interest to take part in the scheduled public auction on July 26 of California Energy’s multimillion-dollar irrigation and power facility in the mountain town of Alfonso Castaneda after a court here denied the firm’s plea for a temporary restraining order.

“At least two firms have expressed interest to take part in the auction.  Should there be no qualified bidders, the provincial government will automatically take over the CMIPP here while its foreign owner would be given a one-year redemption period,” Desiderio Perez, provincial legal officer, said on Saturday.
