BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: The upland municipality of Alfonso Castañeda, the host local government unit of the US-based Casecnan Multipurpose Irrigation and Power Project, will be the major beneficiary of the P250 million of real-estate taxes paid by California Energy (Cal-Energy), owner and operator of CMIPP.
Mayor Alfredo Castillo Jr. told The Manila Times Tuesday that some P100 million has been earmarked to be deposited to the coffer of the municipality.
