SENATORS stood their ground yesterday in opposing the recommendations of the Consultative Commission on Charter change that will extend the lawmakers’ term and the proposal to scrap elections in 2007.
Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile said Malacañang’s insistence to endorse the recommendations would further spark public outrage against the government.
