THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will not extend any support to its embattled former comptroller, retired Maj. Gen. Jacinto Ligot, who was cited for contempt and ordered detained by the Senate.

Armed Forces Spokesman Brig. Gen. Jose Mabanta, Jr., clarified on Sunday that Ligot is now a civilian and will not involve itself in the Ligot’s case.
