ALASKA’S DEVANCE LEADS ‘BEST PLAYER’ CANDIDATES’ ROSTER

 

JOE Devance of Alaska currently leads the list of candidates for the “Best Player of the Conference” award in the 36th Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup.

The 6’7 Devance accumulated a total of 31.750 statistical points to top the list of 30 players that include teammates L.A. Tenorio, currently No.2 with 30.167 followed by Marc Pingres of B-Meg with 29.556.

Talk ‘N Text’s Jimmy Alapag, Kelly Williams and Ranidel de Ocampo garnered 29.333, 29.167 and 28.667 respectively for the fourth, fifth and sixth spots.


Powerade’s Gary David occupied the seventh position with 28.333 while Mark Caguioa who garnered 27.750 is on the eight place (the only Ginebra player in the top 10 casts). Occupying the ninth slot is Peter Jun Simon with 27.444 followed by Solomon Mercado of Meralco in the 10th spot with 26.333.

Hampered by an injury, two-time Most Valuable Player James Yap was not included in the list.
