Fashion from the movies

RED carpets have become a staple for celebrity events especially at movie premieres and award ceremonies. Using the same approach, Shangri-La Plaza showcased the summer season’s newest styles in a fashion show inspired by some of Hollywood’s most anticipated movies.

Dubbed “The Blockbuster Summer,” the movie-themed fashion show presented teens, tweens, and kids in outfits inspired by summer movies Gnomeo and Juliet, Rio, Kung Fu Panda 2, HOP, Transformers, Pirates of the Carribean and Prom.

A mix of bright colors and floral printed skirts were the mode for women, as well as velvety dresses and comfortable cover ups. For accessories, there were turban headbands, funky bags, and scarves for the prevailing hobo look.
