The Philippines is getting its first honest-to-goodness international music festival with Wanderland 2013. Set to perform at the brand new Globe Circuit Event grounds in Makati are popular bands led by The Temper Trap, as well as Neon Trees, Nada Surf, Avalanche City, Colour Coding and Tully on Tully; along with local bands Up Dharma Down, Yolanda Moon, Pulso, Taken By Cars and She’s Only Sixteen. The lineup looks stellar and here’s hoping this is just the be-ginning of what would hopefully turn out to be an annual musical extravaganza.

The Manila Times got the chance to speak by phone with Neon Trees’ bassist Branden Campbell. The band behind the monster hit “Animal” says they are excited to come play in their first ever show in Manila.
