The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is keeping watch on a new low pressure area (LPA) off Davao that is expected to bring rain in parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

The LPA has a slim chance of intensifying into a tropical depression within 24 to 48 hours as it moves westward towards the Visayas.
