ILOILO CITY: The Sangguniang Panlungsod has enacted an ordinance regulating the public utility jeepneys, cargo trucks and trisikads in the district of Lapuz in this city in a move to put order to these vehicles in using the streets and ease out traffic congestion in the area. City councilor Plaridel Nava introduced the regulation ordinance and passed smoothly by the city council to differentiate the Bo Obrero and Lapuz PUJs plying and operating in Lapuz. Nava said that more often than not, there have been complaints of over-lapping in the jurisdiction where passengers are loaded and unloaded, reckless driving and over-speeding of cargo trucks passing the entire stretch of Rizal and Don Esteban Jalandoni streets.
