USAID pushes CDO as engine of PH growth

United States Agency for Inter–national Development (USAID) Acting Assistant Administrator for Asia Denise Rollins visited Cagayan de Oro (CDO) to renew the U.S. government’s commitment to promote cities as engines of growth under the Cities Development Initiative (CDI) of the US-Philip–pines Partnership for Growth.

Accompanied by USAID/Philip–pines Mission Director Gloria Steele, Rollins visited program sites and engaged with local leaders and families that represent the wide scope of USAID’s work in the Philippines, including government officials, business and community pioneers, and survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda. Her visit reinforced the US government’s commitment to the Partnership for Growth—a joint effort with the Philippine government to achieve inclusive and resilient growth in the country.
