Philippine jin Francis Agojo made it to the gold medal round after beating Cambodia’ Ty Heng Chan, 35-6, in the quarterfinals of the 58-kilogram class then outlasted Singapore’s Junwei Tan Jason, 20-13, in the semifinals of the tae kwon do competition of the 28th Southeast Asian Games at the Expo Hall Tatami in Singapore.

Besides Agojo, Levita Ilao assured herself of a bronze medal after defeating Alisa Panyasyli of Laos, 12-0, of women’s 49 kg. class. The tae kwon do finals were still being played at press time.
