Avid viewers GMA Network’s top-rated afternoon drama The Half Sisters have reason to rejoice as the production announced an extended run until August at a victory party this week.

Since its pilot airing in June 2014, The Half Sisters has been dominating its timeslot even as it marks its first anniversary on air, thanks to interesting twists in the plot of this Barbie Forteza- and Thea Tolentino-starrer.

Director Mark Reyes is very happy that that his current series has constantly remained No. 1, and is very grateful to his production staff for helping him keep viewers glued to the family drama.

“It is with much overwhelming Kapuso pride that I would like to congratulate the entire cast, crew and the creative team of The Half Sisters on our first anniversary. I would like to thank the loyal viewers for consistently keeping us on the top spot and making us one of the longest-running original Afternoon Prime Drama series of the Kapuso Network.”

Also spotted at the victory party on Thursday are top actors who comprise the show’s supporting cast, namely Jean Garcia, Jomari Yllana, Ryan Eigenmann and Eula Valdes, together with Andre Paras, Vaness del Moral, Mel Martinez, Pancho Magno, Juancho Triviño and Winwyn Marquez.
