Baguio CELEBRATES Women’s Month

BAGUIO CITY: Women’s Month celebration here will kick-off on Monday, with a simultaneous flag raising and program and on March 1, a kapihan forum will be held at Baguio City Multi-Purpose Hall with theme, “Kapakanan ni Juana, Isama Sa Agenda” (include Women in the Agenda). It resonates the call for gender-balance in leadership and decision making positions in the public and private sector; inclusion of women’s concerns in leadership platforms and the government’s development agenda; and capacitating and preparing women and girls to reach their ambitions. Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda said month-long events will be highlighted by awarding of Outstanding Women Leaders (OWLs) on March 8 and another forum by the Civil Service Commission; and Teen’s Health Fair on March 12, on top of other activities.
