Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna: The Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) formed to probe the ambush of Calauan Mayor Buenafrido Berris that killed two of his companions, is directing its investigation to a person of interest who might shed light to the crime. SITG regional head and concurrent PRO4A assistant regional director for operations Senior Supt. Romulo Sapitula said an artist’s sketch of the suspect is being done but refused to divulge the name and other information, except hinting that the suspect is a gun-for-hire based in Southern Tagalog. He added that they are also tracing the current owner of the recovered getaway vehicle, which was abandoned in Barangay San Mateo, San Pablo, Laguna near the ambush site.
