Daiichi Properties Inc., one of the leading office space developers in the country, earned its fourth international real estate award after winning the Five-Star Best Developer Website Philippines plum in the recently concluded 2017 Asia-Pacific Property Awards held in Bangkok, Thailand.

A part of the renowned International Property Awards, the annual Asia Pacific Property Awards celebrates the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in diverse sectors of the property industry in different regions of the world.

The Best Developer Website award is Daiichi’s fourth award in five years, after bagging the Best Office Development Philippines plum for three of its newest corporate office buildings at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. The website award was for “” and took into account the site’s features, design, appearance and finish, speed and compatibility and functionality beyond the web.

“We are proud of the fact that Daiichi Properties’ culture of excellence is not only limited to our office developments, which are at the core of our business, but also in other aspects of our operations,” said Charmaine Uy, Daiichi Properties senior vice president. “We will continue this culture of excellence as we move forward and expand our services to other areas of the real estate industry,” she added.

Daiichi Properties won its first International Property Award for Best Office Development in the Philippines in 2013 for One World Place, a 32-story premium-grade office building located on 32nd Street in BGC. Designed by world-renowned architectural firm Gensler, One World Place fuses dynamic design with innovative, energy-saving technology.

One World Place’s open space design is flexible to tenants’ individual design criteria. Building features include high-efficiency elevators, a VRV/VRF air-conditioning system, and fiber optic backbone.

The company won its second award for Best Office Development two years later for the 27-story World Plaza located on 5th Avenue, BGC. Also designed by Gensler, World Plaza merges timeless design with a sustainable work environment. World Plaza features an all-around design that allows the building to maximize natural lighting during the day and also give it a seamless look against a darker sky at night.

Daiichi Properties’ third Best Office Development award came in 2016 for The Finance Centre that was just topped off earlier this year. The Finance Centre showcases an expansive 1,700-square-meter plaza with sunken gardens and water features, as well as a sky garden above its retail podium. The Gensler-designed building also has open, column-free floor layouts that give tenants the freedom to optimize their work environments based on the specific needs of their business.

The three award-winning office buildings were structurally engineered to withstand strong earthquakes and typhoons, using performance-based design principles. All three buildings achieved above-standard structural performance and reliability in the tests.

Moreover, the three buildings are all LEED-certified—One World Place is certified LEED Silver while both World Plaza and The Finance Centre are pre-certified LEED Gold. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world and LEED certification is globally recognized as a symbol of the achievement of sustainability.
