Serbia sweeps prelims to advance to quarters

Defending champion Serbia stayed undefeated in the preliminary round to advance to the quarterfinals of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3X3 World Cup on Monday at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Serbia routed No. 9 Romania, 21-12, and No. 19 Kyrgyzstan, 21-9, to complete a four-game sweep in Pool A.
