TYPHOON “Rosita” (international name “Yutu”) is now in the area of Sablan, Benguet after crossing Ifugao and will be heading to La Union, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday afternoon.
In its 1 p.m. bulletin, the state-run weather bureau said the typhoon was moving west at 20 kilometers per hour (kph), with maximum sustained of 140 kph and gustiness of up to 230 kph.
Signal No. 3 remains in Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, and La Union.
Signal no. 2 is up in Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Ilocos, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Zambales.
Metro Manila, the Babuyan group of Islands, Bulacan, Northern Quezon (including Polillo island), Bataan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna are under signal no. 1 .
Moderate to heavy rains will be experienced over portions of Tawi Tawi, Sulu, and Zamboanga del Norte within the next two hours.
Fishermen with small boats are advised not to venture over the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon.
Rosita will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday, October 31. JOVE MOYA
