INDONESIA-based minimart operator Alfamart is likely to further increase its presence in the Philippines amid the lack of players in the largely untapped minimarket industry, a Fitch Group unit said.
In a statement on Tuesday, Fitch Ratings said Alfamart was planning to open more than 200 new stores in the country next year, partly to offset slower growth in Indonesia.
