Never-say-die Taiwanese Kevin Cheng rose from the grave to outlast Filipino Carlo Biado, 12-11, in extra rack and capture the First World Pool Association (WPA) Players Championship on Friday night at the Griffs Billiard in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Trailing, 5-8, in the race to 9 exciting finale, Cheng took advantage of the Filipino 2017 world 9-ball champion’s uncharacteristic four-ball miss in what could have been a decider for Biado to clinch the title.
