Yassi wants out of Coco-Julia issue

ABS-CBN primetime actress Yassi Pressman has had enough of the love triangle rumors constantly linking her with “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s” main man Coco Martin and his longtime on and off girlfriend and baby momma Julia Montes.

The talented British-Filipina actress did not hold back when she was cornered with questions on the issue following the launch of her latest endorsement project with fast food brand Greenwich, categorically asserting there is nothing going on between her and Coco. If anything they are just coming up with tremendous portrayals of their roles, making viewers believe their chemistry goes beyond the set.

“I think nadadala lang po sila sa kwento namin and I think masaya po sila if iyon ang nararamdaman nila,” she rationalized, reiterating there is nothing going on between her and her co-star.

Yassi admitted she went through a “toxic time” during the height of the rumors were rife that Julia had given birth to Coco’s child abroad, and her name kept being dragged into the picture.

Amid all the noise, she made an effort to reflect and focus on herself because she knew she had nothing to worry about.

“Wala naman akong ikaka-guilty so kapag mayroon akong naririnig, alam kong hindi naman totoo so I tried my best not to be affected,” she added.

Yassi is also fully aware that there are fans who blame her for the still until certain and unclear status between Coco and Julia, while assuring them she really has nothing to do with any of the issues whatsoever.

“Pagdating po siguro doon, sila na lang po ang tanungin niyo kasi hindi po ako kasali doon and wala po ako karapatan na magsalita for them,” she declared.

Given all the drama, Yassi says she’s only human and needs to constantly remind herself of her worth and importance whenever accusations are flung at her.

Amid all the drama, the prime time star tries to keep a positive mindset.

“Yung focus ko is for the family, for self-growth po muna. When I’m stressed ang nakakatulong po sa akin ay hanapin ang sarili ko doon sa mga bagay na nakakapagpasaya sa akin.”

As cliché as it sounds, she encourages people to take more “me times” to realign their thoughts in difficult situations.

“Kasi kapag binigyan mo pala ng oras sarili mo, babalik ka na mas ganado,” Yassi realized.

Meanwhile, as the love triangle issue shows no signs of letting up for now, life goes on for Yassi, even beyond showbiz. The popular actress-dancer is doubly busy these days as she is engaged in a business venture with some friends in Siargao. They are opening up a Mexican restaurant on the island called Zicatleta.

Pressman assures fans of ‘Ang Probinsyano’ leading man Coco Martin and Julia Montes there is nothing going on between them.

With all her time taken up by the demanding schedule of Ang Probinsyano and her equally exciting non-showbiz venture, Yassi says it is very obvious that finding love is not high on her priorities at the moment.

“Ano lang ako, happy as a person. Very busog as a person sa work, sa family, sa friends. So wala na po ako ibang hinanap pa.”

Until next week, ta-ta!
