CEBU CITY: Police arrested two suspected marijuana cultivators, while two others escaped after yielding about P4.2 million worth of marijuana plants in Barangay Langosig, Danao City, north Cebu on Saturday. Police identified the suspects from Barangay Langosig as Jolito Landero, 39, and Apolicronio Lawas Jr., 49, while those from Barangay Lawaan were Renerio Cal, 49, and Isidro Martel. Danao City Police station chief Lt. Col. Maribel Getigan said Martel and Lawas were at large. Police confiscated 5,000 marijuana seedlings, two big gallons, two improvised dipper, a pair of scissors used in the marijuana cultivation, and uprooted 9,850 marijuana stalks which were burned on site because of bad weather. Police placed 150 marijuana stalks inside a sack to serve as evidence upon the filing of charges against the suspects.
