Creation of Northern Cordillera regional hospital proposed


TABUK CITY, Kalinga: Rep. Allen Jesse Mangaoang filed a bill that seeks to convert the Kalinga Provincial Hospital into a Level 3 regional hospital to be known as the Northern Cordillera Regional Medical Center. House Bill 2432 puts the hospital under the supervision of the Department of Health and appropriates funds for the said purpose. It states that the hospital facilities and services shall be upgraded and increased to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in its authorized bed capacity of 300. Mangaoang said through the years, the Kalinga Provincial Hospital has provided affordable services to the residents of the province and its neighboring provinces.
