MMDA open to law reducing volume of vehicles along EDSA

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is open to having a law, which will reduce the volume of vehicles along EDSA.

Kung pu-pwede po tayong maglabas ng batas para magkaroon tayo ng volume reduction, we welcome that (If we can come up with a law regarding volume reduction, we welcome that). We need to make a moratorium on new car sales,” said Bong Nebrija, MMDA EDSA traffic chief.

About 386,000 to 402, 000 cars travel along EDSA daily, which is over its capacity of 235,000. JAN ARCILLA
