Oil companies to cut pump prices

OIL companies are slated to slightly cut prices of petroleum products this coming week, after an increase the last time.

Cleanfuel will be the first to reduce the cost of diesel by 15 centavos per liter and gasoline by 20 centavos per liter on Sunday at 4:01 p.m.

Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum, and PTT Philippines said in separate advisories that prices of diesel and gasoline would drop by 10 centavos per liter each on Tuesday at 6 a.m.

Other industry players are anticipated to announce a reduction in pump prices.

Last week, the majority of firms raised the price of diesel from 60 to 75 centavos per liter, gasoline by 35 to 50 centavos per liter, and kerosene by 45 to 50 centavos per liter. JORDEENE B. LAGARE
