A PEACE consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) has been arrested in Quezon City, according to a radio report.

Police arrested Esterlita Suaybaguio in an apartment based on a search warrant issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 89 for illegal possession of firearms and explosives, radio dzBB and a statement from the NDFP said.

Police found in Suaybaguio’s possession guns and a grenade.

The NDFP called the arrest “another obstacle to peace” and demanded the release of Suaybaguio.




Militants will hold a protest against the arrest and detention of Suaybaguio.
