More oil firms cut prices


MORE oil companies reduced the pump prices of diesel, gasoline and kerosene by 10 centavos each on Tuesday.

Chevron Philippines (Caltex) adjusted its pump prices at 12:01 a.m., followed by Flying V, Petron, Seaoil and Total.

Over the weekend, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum, Pilipinas Shell and PTT Philippines announced that the cost of diesel and gasoline dropped by 10 centavos per liter.

Cleanfuel adjusted its pump prices on Sunday, lowering the cost of diesel by 15 centavos per liter and gasoline by 20 centavos per liter.

Pilipinas Shell also lowered the cost of kerosene by 10 centavos per liter.

Last week, oil companies raised the price of diesel by 60 to 75 centavos per liter, gasoline by 35 to 50 centavos per liter and kerosene by 45 to 50 centavos per liter.
