BuCor officer gunned down


An unidentified man shot and killed an official of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) in Muntinlupa City on Tuesday.

A report from Col. Gerardo Umayao, Muntinlupa City police chief, said Ruperto Traya Jr., 53, chief administrative officer 3 of BuCor, was shot in the head.

Traya was attacked after alighting from his motorcycle to open the gate of a parking lot in Amparo Street in Barangay Poblacion at 1 p.m.

The police launched an operation to capture the gunman.
