NOEMI LARDIZABAL-DADO

While exploring on things to do in Berlin, I chanced upon IFA, or Internationale Funkausstellung, the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances. To be held in Berlin on Sept. 6 to 11, 2019, the show first launched in 1924 as a radio convention. Today, IFA (https://www.ifa-berlin.com/) is hosted in the massive Messe Berlin complex. Last year, IFA rolled out 161,200 square meters of show floor space to 1,814 exhibitors from over 100 countries. It’s like the annual CES (Consumer Electronics Show) conference in Las Vegas every January. Unlike CES, which is a closed event, IFA is open to the public who purchased tickets (https://b2b.ifa-berlin.com/TradeVisitors/Tickets/). I find IFA ideal for the launch of products, which could be made available in stores by November and December when demand for new gadgets reach its peak.
