Just recently, Kiwanis Club of Makati headed by its President, Engr. Grace Bondad Nicolas visited Buting Senior High school in Pasig as she shares sacks of rice, potatoes and some funds for the school feeding program to continue their advocacy and for the children’s health and wellness welfare.
Principal Monette Pacaigue- Vega together with Teacher Rizza Magno welcomes Engr. Nicolas and even both shared and had lunch with the children to taste also if there’s still need to improve.
According to Engr. Grace Nicolas, “We are Grateful with Teacher Rizza as she didn’t stop till we said yes when she first contacted us to visit the school. She’s determined to encourage partners to see and experience the situation of these kids. The kids needs support, some are malnourished and that’s why we love to share in our own little way. Our Kiwanis Club of Makati Secretary Macky Mazotes and Treasurer Sheila Leyva made sure that we have something for these children and this is just the beginning, we will engage with them as long as we can. We are also encouraging others to do the same.”
Buting Senior High School has more than 2000 in population and more than 300 are malnourished students. The school are helping them with a free healthy snacks and lunch. Kiwanis Club of Makati is a non governmental organisation based in United States with clubs in the Philippines advocating to help the welfare of the children.
