How the Filipino athletes, who will carry the country’s tri-colors in the coming 30th Southeast Asian Games, are being trained will be discussed by Philippine Sports Commission Chair Butch Ramirez during the Scoop On Air Forum at The Manila Times Television.
Ramirez will appear as guest in the revived public service undertaking of the Sports Communicators Organization of the Philippines to allay fears expressed by some quarters that athletes under the national training pool are not given proper training.
Also gracing Friday’s edition of the forum are Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association President and former PSC chair Philip Juico and athletics team training director Renato Unso.
Juico and Unso, himself a be-medalled SEA Games campaigner, are expected to spell out how the Filipino runners, jumpers and throwers will protect athletics reputation as the winningest national contingent in the biennial meet since the country started competing in 1977.
Scoop member Agnes Razal will co-host the session along with president Eddie Alinea.
