Oil firms cut back prices

OIL companies cut prices of petroleum products by up to half a peso per liter starting on Saturday.

The price of diesel dropped by 10 centavos per liter, gasoline by 50 centavos per liter, and kerosene by 25 centavos per liter.

Phoenix Petroleum was the first to lower pump prices on Saturday at 6 a.m. and Cleanfuel will follow on Sunday at 4:01 p.m.

Petro Gazz and Pilipinas Shell will cut fuel prices on Tuesday at 6 a.m.

Last week, most firms slashed price of diesel by 10-20 centavos per liter, gasoline by 10 centavos per liter, and kerosene by 15 centavos per liter. JORDEENE LAGARE
