A suicide bomber, suspected to be a woman, was killed when the bomb strapped to her body went off at the entrance of a military detachment in Indanan, Sulu on Sunday, the military said.
At 5:48 p.m., the suicide bomber, wearing an abaya, a loose fitting garment, tried to enter the detachment manned by the Philippine Army’s 35th Infantry Battalion, according to Lt. Col. Gerard Monfort, spokesman of Joint Task Force Sulu.
