THE Insurance Commission (IC) has placed Mercantile Careplans Inc. under conservatorship after it failed to comply with the minimum P75-million paid-up capital requirement.
In a statement on Monday, Insurance Commissioner Dennis Funa said the agency determined this after examining the pre-need firm’s affairs, financial condition and methods of doing of business.
