Net FDI inflows drop to 23-month low in June

 

NET foreign direct investments (FDI) in June hit a 23-month low of $430 million and fell from the figure posted in the same month last year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announced on Tuesday.

The latest figure was the lowest since July 2017’s $352.32 million, and a 48.5-percent decrease from $836 million in June last year.

The latest figure resulted in a year-to-date tally of $3.57 billion, 38.8 percent down from the amount in January to June 2018. MAYVELIN U. CARABALLO
