LONDON: The British government has formally suspended parliament, sending lawmakers home for five weeks amid a Brexit crisis.
The suspension was proven unhelpful to deliver a smooth departure from the European Union (EU) as lawmakers rejected Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s aim to have an early elections for Brexit.
