SBP to ponder what to do with Gilas next – Barrios

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Executive Director Sonny Barrios said the SBP is contemplating what to do with Gilas Pilipinas after the national team’s disastrous campaign in the ongoing 2019 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) World Cup in Foshan, China.

“When I say 'disbandment,' it is in the sense that there’s nothing that they are preparing for,” Barrios told The Manila Times in a phone interview on Tuesday. “So in the meantime, they will go back to their respective ball clubs.”
