CLOSE to 300 Chinese were arrested by joint operatives of the Bureau of Immigration-Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) and Philippine National Police(PNP) for allegedly engaging in illegal gambling operations.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente disclosd on Thursday that the operations were sanctioned by the Chinese embassy in Manila, which had sought the BI’s assistance.
