THE weeklong celebration of Singkaban Festival is set to end with the commemoration of the 121st anniversary of Malolos Congress on Sunday (September 15) at the historical Barasoain Church in the City of Malolos. Sen. Maria Imelda Josefa “Imee” Marcos, together with the top provincial officials headed by Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado and thousands of Bulakenyos, will memorialize the establishment of the Congress that ratified the Philippine Independence through a flag raising ceremony, oath to the national flag and wreath laying ceremony at the monument of the first Philippine President, Emilio Aguinaldo. The weeklong celebration of Singkaban Festival, anchored on the theme “Sining at Kalinangang Bulakenyo, Dangal ng Filipino,” showcases the province’s rich, history, culture, tourism and arts.
