The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is upbeat on its new commissioner who it described as “a lawyer with extensive experience in government affairs and public policy.”

In a statement over the weekend, SEC Chairperson Emilio Aquino said the agency was “looking forward to work with Commissioner [Karlo] Bello in our unrelenting thrust to enable the corporate sector deepen the capital market and protect the investing public toward a more progressive Philippines.”
