ZAMBOANGA CITY: For initiating the most number of blood donations covering July 2018 to August 2019, the highest 10 “bloodiest” barangay (villages) in this highly urbanized city were awarded with a Plaque of Recognition by the city’s Blood Council in coordination with the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City and the local government unit (LGU).
City Blood Council program coordinator Maria Christine Lim said the council got the list of the “Top 10 bloodiest villages” from the Zamboanga City Medical Center and Philippine Red Cross, which had secured the number of blood donors from officials of the city’s 98 villages.
